Tournament calendar

Every event, every result

Esports tournaments operate on a tiered system that determines competitive significance, prize pool, and ranking impact. At the top sit the Majors (CS2) and Champions events (Valorant) — the equivalent of grand slam tournaments. Below them, S-Tier events carry significant prize money and ranking weight. A-Tier and B-Tier events provide qualification pathways and development opportunities. Understanding this hierarchy is essential for interpreting rankings: a team’s results at a Major carry more weight than a regional qualifier because the opponent pool is deeper and the stakes are higher.

Krontiv tracks every S-Tier and Major-equivalent event across all four titles, with calendar dates, format details, prize pool information, and post-event results. Historical tournament data extends back to the earliest available records for each title.

The CS2 Major is the pinnacle of Counter-Strike competition. Valve funds the tournament directly, with a minimum prize pool of USD 1,250,000. The Major system has defined CS competitive structure since 2013: qualification through Regional Major Rankings (RMR), a Swiss-format Challengers stage, a Legends stage, and a Champions stage culminating in a best-of-five grand final.

Copenhagen’s Royal Arena will host the event in May 2026. The format produces the most statistically significant data of any CS2 event: every team plays a minimum of three best-of-three series against opponents of similar strength, generating map-level data across the full active pool.

“A 1.20 rating is a career in one number.”

“The tournament format comparisons are something no other site does well. Understanding why Swiss format produces different results than GSL groups is genuinely useful.”
