At the top sit the Majors (CS2) and Champions events (Valorant) — the equivalent of grand slam tournaments. Below them, S-Tier events carry significant prize money and ranking weight. A-Tier and B-Tier events provide qualification pathways and development opportunities. Understanding this hierarchy is essential for interpreting rankings: a team’s results at a Major carry more weight than a regional qualifier because the opponent pool is deeper and the stakes are higher.
